In part 1 of Goats we had just got back to shore and Nate’s parents gave us a towel each and took the kayak back to their house. We all went to the skate park for a little while. We didn’t stay there long because I had work and had to go home and get ready. Lachy and Nate went home as well.
I went to work. I finished work early, probably at about 8:30, which was good because I was sleeping at Lachlan’s house. Before I walked over to Lachlan’s I made a pizza for his dinner. I wasn’t hungry so I didn’t make anything for myself. I made my way to Lachlan’s, he and his younger brother were the only ones home because their parents hadn’t finished work yet. Throughout the night we played video games, played with their 2 dogs, and attempted to make a meme (if you don’t know what memes are google it.) The next morning our friend Devlin rang us up to see if we wanted to hang out. We told him that we were going to go across the river if he wanted to come.
Lachlan and I speedily made our way to Dev’s house, but not before I bought some of those bread things with ham and cheese melted on the top. When we were at Dev’s house I chucked my ham bread in their microwave. I gave Dev some of my bread and we left. Lachlan thought of the idea to grab one of his Grandad’s canoes. Lachlan’s Grandad was a Caretaker at the local PCYC, and the PCYC was located right near the river.
We were allowed to borrow one of the canoes, and we made our way to the river’s edge carrying the canoe. It took a while to get down there as it was pretty heavy. We all put our life jackets on and rowed to the opposite side of the river. We took Dev to the top of the hill to show him the view of Kalbarri and the ocean from the top. By the time we made it back down to ground level the same herd of goats was grazing on some grass in a large clearing. Lachlan, Dev and I made a plan to get in a big triangle with goats In the middle of us. Once we had our plan set up we all ran at the goats which had nowhere to go. Gilbert (the same goat we caught the day before) fell over again and I grabbed him and called Dev and Lachlan over. They grabbed him and I ran after two more goats. I caught one of them and took it over to where Lachlan, Dev and Gilbert were. The 2nd goat we caught was a bit smaller that Gilbert. We let them both go together and went adventuring for a while. We didn’t find much, but that didn’t matter because we had a really good conversation.
We then rowed across the river and took the canoe back. It took us so long to take the canoe back, probably about 30 minutes.
I went home.
